Categories For years I've traveled frequently due to work and only recently did I understand the importance of utilizing a Travel Advisor. In the past I was always overwhelmed with having to book business trips myself due to the fact that it was always a tedious and annoying task. I was never truly sure if I was getting great deals and to top it off if I had any issues I would have to move mountains just to get to someone who was willing and actually had the power and/or authority to rectify my issues.

A few months ago I was referred to Book It Go Travel dba Cruise Planners through a co-worker of mine. He raved about their professionalism, knowledge on travel and extraordinary service. So, like any smart person would, I decided to give them a try. I contacted Book It Go Travel in March to plan a trip to Dallas Texas for a business conference I was attending. I expressed the importance of staying at the Hilton Anatole, the hotel the conference was being held at, and a rental car to do some sightseeing while in Dallas. My budget was pretty tight for this trip and they were extremely understanding and advised they would be more then capable of providing me with a wonderful experience no matter the budget. The next day I was emailed the details of my and was even given a courtesy call to go over all of the specifics of my trip. Due to the fact, I waited until the last minute to book this trip I thought I wouldn't be able to stay at my requested hotel - the Hilton Anatole but because of my well connected travel advisor I was booked right on the spot. During my stay in Dallas I visited a few museums and was able to view some fine collections of art. Also, I visited the Dallas zoo and got up close and personal with a few of the precious animals. I dined at the upscale SÄ“r Steakhouse and took in views of the Dallas Skyline while enjoying a prime porterhouse steak. Lastly, I enjoyed a self guided tour of the AT&T Dallas Stadium also known as the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. During this tour I was able to access the field, the post game interview room and the AT&T Stadium Pro Shop.

The one thing that I had on this trip that was missing from the numerous trips I'd taken before was "peace of mind". I had reassurance that if anything went wrong I was able to contact my Travel Advisor and they'd handle any issues or concerns I might have had. I can't imagine going back to a life of travel without a Travel Advisor. I believe the biggest reasons to hire a Travel Advisor is to save time and money, their expert advice, personalized service, their destination knowledge, peace of mind and to have an amazing experience. Let's face it most people have no idea where to start looking and don't have time to waste. In addition, good advisors can offer options that you may have not considered. Moreover, some trips are more complicated than others. Foreign traveling is much more complex than traveling to another state. Travel Advisors are knowledgeable and more familiar with various cruise lines, sailings, cabins, excursions, etc. More importantly, wouldn't you like to have a safety net in case things go wrong. As travelers we often realize that even after a trip is planned things don't always turn out as expected. So, when "stuff happens" it's reassuring to have someone to resolve your issues. Lastly, with a Travel Advisor they can create something that can't be googled and that's "a personal experience". So, my advise to anyone who's planning to travel use a Travel Advisor, I'm sure glad I did.
